TerraCycle®️ is a social enterprise dedicated to eliminating the idea of waste that specializes in recycling the un-recyclable. Ever look at a product and think, can this be recycled…? Well TerraCycle®️ removes that worry and repurposes your empties into something new. They collect, store, and recycle everything from our shampoo bottles to our spray pumps.
Are amika products recyclable?
Technically yes, but local recyclers sometimes don’t have the ability to recycle all of our packaging. Things like pumps and tubes are not always taken by recycling facilities, which is why amika is partnering with TerraCycle®️ to ensure none of our packaging ends up in a landfill or the ocean.
How to recycle amika products?
Once you finish your products (please make sure they’re completely empty), print a free prepaid shipping label off our TerraCycle®️ page. Attach the label to any parcel you have around and ship back your empty packaging.
TerraCycle®️ receives the packaging and holds onto it to for us. Once we collect a significant amount, it’s 100% recycled and given a new purpose. What’s its new purpose? Anything amika can think of that’s made out of plastic!
What can I recycle?
All amika primary packaging (aka. the bottles + tubes that hold the actual product) is recyclable through our TerraCycle®️ programs.
